Bush has finally agreed that American heavy industry is killing off the forests of Acidrainier, (formally known as Canada) and set in place financial incentives for industry to reduce it's carbon footprint. Failure to comply may (or may not) incur fines..........Or has he??????? Can you imagine the conversation in the Oval office. "We do not cause acid rain" "Well Mr President the trees in Canada are all dying from acid rain caused by our factories spewing out sulphurous gases into the atmosphere." "So?" "This is making us unpopular with the rest of the world because you would not agree to be bound by the Kyoto Agreement" "So?" "We need to act now, before our own forests are affected, besides there is an election soon" "No problem we will blame the Muslims, remind the world about 9/11, bomb Afghanistan a bit more, shoot some Taliban and then everyone will be our friend again" " We tried that tactic in Vietnam, Mr President, only then we blamed the Commies" "You mean we deforested Vietnam as well?"
