Treasury apologies! I note with a certain irony the Treasury has apologised for one of it's number leaving sensitive material on a train.
But we can re-assure ourselves that steps are being taken to prevent this from happening again.
Thank heavens for that!
Yet thinking about it.........are these the same steps the DVLA has taken to prevent loss of data on roundabouts?........err...twice!
Or
The the steps DHSS has taken to prevent benefit claimants details being lost?......
Or are they the steps taken to prevent loss of data from computer hard drives discarded when updating computers or the steps taken to stop loss of data from American offices???????? ???????? In America for pity's sake...why????? :?
'cos if they are I wonder what else our beloved government will lose next? The Election perchance????? because the steps they are taking are obviously the wrong ones!!!!!!!
When I ran a sales operation in my twenties I told all my guys (when they dropped a clanger....... or even a soup dragon) you are allowed to make any number of mistakes once.....but never the same one twice.....there in lies stupidity and thus not acceptable.

Misplaced documents Hey TDC,
Don't worry too much about civil servants or even government ministers losing, misplacing, having nicked, accidently recycling etc official documents. You may have noticed that most of these mishaps happen on the railway, therefore by the time the trains eventually get to their destination the top secret info is too out of date to be a threat to the nation's security. On a similar topic, you will not be surprised to learn the Osama Bin Laden's "man in Europe" is being released from jail soon but have no fear, he will be under a "strict curfew" and will be tagged. Just hope they don't lose him prior to tagging. Tags, by the way, can be purchased on Ebay, hardly used.
Gales and rain forecast for tomorrow - summer's on the way!
Andio,
Sparrow.
