This section needs a new character called Grumpy, he can then be the moderator. Any volunteers? Then it can be "Lets cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of war!" as it were! Err... I quote Julius Caesar's III,I .....well actually, it was that well known Shake-a-Spear who said Julius said it, and he should know! Personally I thought he said "Weeny,Weedy, Weaky, or something like that. Anyway that's what Woadica thought he said and so she went home thinking he was not worth the time and trouble to fight and had a couple of kids instead. It was these girls who once they were 14 and 16 years old came across a Tribune and a couple of Praetorians, overstepped their powers a touch and raped them. Err...it was the girls who got raped not the tribune and praetorians.......at least I think it was that way round. Who knows? This episode in British history is a bit vague about who was raped....you know the girls or the Romans, but the net result was Woadica thought her girls were invaded so revolted and frankly we Brits have been revolting ever since. It was during this time that the Britons invented strip farming. This involved planting several hundred romans in in the ground having first removed all their money and clothing. Nothing came of it and they got bored and short of cash waiting for something to crop up. So they invented the dole queue and the benefit system instead. :roll: :pirate: This was much better, as they could sit around in pubs and coffee shops all day getting drunk and jeering at the Romans. 8) Thus tourism was born........... :shock: :shock: :wink: You see this board is sooo edukational. :shock: TDC 8) (or should that be grumpy?)
