So pleased to see makis village is back!
Having stayed on our first trip at makis studios ( although in need of an update) l'm pleased to see that judi and paul seem to have done a make over in the photo department! They look great and it's such a lovely walk from that side of the harbour at night into the village, we did miss that last year when we stayed at the other end. Here's hoping many people will book as they have fantastic view- although not from studio 13 where we stayed ( l know lucky for some not for others!). It seemed a bit strange this year walking past as there were hardly anyone staying there, l wish them well now they've broken away from the tour operators.

Makis village
Hi Biglaughs, There are 16 "doors" at Makis village, 10 of them have been upgraded/updated last winter. 6 have not, if Olympic wish to contract those they are welcome! But I suspect they are pushing for the updated ones. Time will tell. If not Makis will upgrade those 6 next winter and then they can all go shuffle amongst themselves because Makis told me he will not release them for 10 euros a night!! This year these 6 were contracted to a Scandinavian company. It seems they do not spend money in the pool bar/taverna. They use the facilities but buy their water and drinks from the supermarkets! Leaving the bar man to clear up after them. All the tour operators will have to sharpen their pencils this winter. Good thing too!!! I think frankly The British should all stand up take a 2 minute applause. :clapping: They are by far the most pleasant to deal with and have stay in your accommodation. They respect the property, the landlords and appreciate any help you give them. I love 'em. We made a policy decision today.............along with Italians (who lie, cheat, trash, abuse and steal) Americans have been added to the "no thank you, we are full" list. We have had two this year, both were crass ,loud, rude and bullies they also both tried to change the deal at the last minute. One even waited until there was only girl alone in the office before he struck. :pirate: :evil: TDC 8)

So pleased you still love us brits! Only thing is your all sitting there in ag ef in the warm sunshine and well it's ....... down with rain here!!!! Haven't counted the days till our return but it could be something to do whilst watching the ever present rainfall. Keep chilling!!!

Frankly I would welcome a drop or two of rain........ :shock: Clear the air a bit and cool my poor plants down who are currently showing every sign of being cooked to death! Can anyone remember when it last rained? Early May I think. TDC 8)

Yes it rained on our last day that was end of may! Oh what a long time ago that was. We had very hot weather for all of er.. 4 days last week and we all complained as it wasn't the right kind of HOT weather, loads of bugs and flies and then thunder!! You lucky people.... still rain tomorrow here.
