Painting of Agia Efimia When we visit Kefalonia in June, we would like to buy a painting of Aghia Efimia. Do you know of any artists in the locality where we might find one?

Although Peter's no longer a resident, he maybe able to help in your quest.

There was a lady up by the kastro last year in memories cafe that had paintings, theres also a small art gallery just as you go down the other side of the hill.

I am sure he would help to lighten your wallet! (he was good at that) but unfortunately not a good painter (artist yes) :-D
Do it the simple and much cheapness way, take a piccy, blow it up and sort of fill it in with paint, a bit like paint by numbers. It will look good if you take your time and you will have the pleasure of saying, I painted that!

Peter is also keen follower of the paint by numbers method as well. :-D

I did actually check with Peter to see if he had any paintings of AE, but he had sold them all!!
I am no good with paint but maybe I will bring my sketch book with me and see what I can do!

I may have spotted a niche tourist market - a small art gallery in AE showing works by locals and resident Brits!
So all I need to do is to find a small property in AE, convert the downstairs and get started. My commission fees will be .........er?
Oh and I might even need to learn to paint and sketch and not by numbers!
On the other hand ...............£££££$$$$$!!!
Sounds like one of Baldrick's 'cunning plans' which I seem to recall had basic design faults. I obviously need a detailed business plan at once.
Any advice?
 :P

There is always the 40 odd sq mtr house Malc was talking about, a snip at 750,000 euros.
The problem here is by tradition one has to "snuff it" before one's paintings are worth anything.............need to sell a few to warrant the expense of The little house on the......... well, sea front!

I painted a woman in the nude once.
But it was freezing so I had to put my clothes on.

The link is great! I shall have a good look later (after my WI meeting!)

There you go Denise, framed and ready to go! Thought I would use some of the rare roman black, grey and white mosaics recently found in Sami.
It's now a collectors item!
