It's tough in the UK at the moment! Wet, windy and now broke with rampant inflation!.......Official! The bank of England has admitted that inflation is in danger of running out of control. Of course all those Egg heads at the B of E have banks of computers, miles of statistics and dozens of flunkies all working like mad to come up with a simple fact any housewife could have told them months ago. Britain is screwed big time. Inflation is (they say) 5% Mind you most housewives will disagree claiming it near 10% than 5% but then what do they know? It has taken a Labour government only 10 years to destroy a country that has withstood every onslaught for nearly 1,000 years. They have also allowed an invasion of foreign nationals the like of which we have not seen since 1066! (you know Billy the conq. and crew) And now what do they tell us???? The North of England is totally buggered! Yup folks there is no chance of re-generating anywhere north of Watford Gap. Totally knackered. The suggestion by our lords and masters is to build 3 million homes round Oxford and London so the Northerners can move south for a better life! So much for Morrissons " Find out why it is cheaper to live up north" No wonder they have been opening supermarkets like crazy recently down south...........THEY KNEW!!! So us softy southerners will now have to put up with Whippets and bloody pigeons and wear cloth caps. 3 million homes ????????????????? round Oxford and London! Excellent plan and so practical! The sooner Labour go the better...........stupid bags of hot air the lot of them! or put another way......smelly farts! TDC 8) P.S. IF you can keep your head.........................

Nothing like speaking your mind TDC!! The sunny south isn't so hot either at the mo blowing a gail, and raining, looks more like October than August!! Central hesting kicked in last night. Ho hum, I'm back to Kef next week to help hubbie cope with the Italian invasion to our villas - NEVER AGAIN!!!!

All I can say is, I am glad I moved out here, I would rather toast my -*test*-('")icles in front of a hot open fire than move south and join the Southern Jessies, there are more Faggots and Dykes per head darn sarf than anywhere else in the country! 8) I would rather have rampant inflation than a rampant faggot behind me! Hey shaz, you been raiding hubbys' whisky again? You know it makes you go silly!!! :shock: TDC, you just want to hope they don't start putting up pit heaps to make us northerners and our whippets feel more at home! :-D There are also a lot of posh northerners too..............did you know that we take our ashes to the dustbin in a briefcase? :-D What amazes me is that this sort of tosh is coming from a government that is "supposed" to exist and fight for the "working classes"! The bedrock of labour support is from the very areas that they are putting down and are saying are beyond help! This is going to kill them off altogether at the next election! (i don't vote labour by the way!) We all thought this lot had lost the plot long ago and this confirms it big style! Teggsy, Please note my comments were aimed at DTG who can never resist a "wind up" Very much tongue in cheek. There was never any serious intent at enlarging the North/South divide. Yes I have been "Up Norf" Many times. Besides who wants to watch DTG's whippet and Pigeons anyway? The Ferret is interesting and the polecats quite amusing. But seeing as he has moved south, DTG's whippet (minus -*test*-('")icles) is a very sad picture to behold. TDC 8)

There is so much I could write on this south/north issue - and I have deleted all of what I was going to say. The wealth of the UK has been built on the manufacturing Midlands and North. The London city folk have been canny enough to keep their hands clean and reap the benefits (and wealth). A few overpaid and underqualified city folk, on fat salaries and bonuses, have been making BAD (VERY BAD) decisions which anyone in the north could see coming. Do I feel sorry for the few people who have lost their jobs or had their bonuses cut? .......................... Humbug - or Uncle Joe's Mint Balls Phil

I have always found people from the North, and I include Ireland and Scotland, to be very friendly, helpful and hardworking. I think Mr Cat should be ashamed of the way he treats me! If I am sat in a Taverna and he walks past, he shouts out :eyup ees from up norf tha knows, dont trust him: It can be very embarasing at times, After all I had no say as to where I was born :cry:
