Hot, Hot, Hot!!!
The sun has been turned up to gas mark 8 and the last few days have been a touch on the warm side to say the least. 8) 8) For the first time this year I ventured into our pool yesterday. It was a choice between staying indoors with a book and the air con on or take the book down to the pool area, put up the parasols and dip overheated body into the pool! The pool won out, so I now have a rosy back as I was told I had to do 10 lengths at least for the exercise!.........which I did (with the assistance of my trusty airbed!) so I took too long and got burned OK? My knee has gone "clicky" and I have come up with nasty spots on my back from the heat/sun that itch like mad. :? WHO SAYS EXERCISE IS GOOD FOR YOU??? HUH??? Maybe tomorrow, if this heat continues, I will opt out of the exercise part, move the parasol over to the water's edge and armed only with a "clink, clink, fizz" sit bum deep on the steps to read. Or maybe just flake out in air-con land. Then again I could go and paddle in the sea. Hot damn! Life is just full of decisions, don't you find? TDC 8)

Heatwave???
I feel so sorry for you all in THAT heat. Here in good old england we have been out this morning trying to tie down the gazebo on the patio as the wind is so strong it's lifting it up!!! BUT the sun is out you'd just get blown away sitting outside. Oh what a life!!

Very stressful TDC, how do you cope? :? We struggle through as you well know Hugh! It's a killer at times. For extra stress try living next door to Aris! :?   Aris, Aris who the **** is Aris? I plan to write a book called " 25 years living next door to Aris" one day. Yesterday I gave him an ultimatum on his chickens. They go or I talk to the mayor or even shoot them humanely before they expire through starvation and thirst. Three more dead ones yesterday, trouble is, he is not so quick to spot the carcases or even notice the drop in numbers, so the smell yesterday morning in my back garden drifting over from his was horrendous......and the flies...ugh! I know, he said, I have flies too, it's your dog, he shi*s everywhere!!!!!!!! Aris It's your effing chickens, I clear the dog poo every day! YOU DO!.......THATS DISGUSTING  Where do you throw it?     TDC 8)

Oh dear TDC - life IS tough. Heat wave, burnt skin, dead chickens and dog poo! This all sounds horrible when my image of Kef is sooooo positive. Are there any other negative things need to know about before I return once again to paradise? I know about how taxi drivers drive (avoided by hiring your own car), mozzies (to be dealt with using an electric tennis bat), Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee (just avoided), Chaos Corner ( excellent watching over a cold beer - but not to be participated in when a large lorry appears down the wrong way) and finally the many Wasps (AKA Cement mixer lorries!) OH - Denise just reminded me about something called 'Earthquakes' She has still not recovered fully from her recent experience and is still going to bed fully clothed - NOT GOOD. Maybe you will get lucky and have some howling gales, monsoon rains and temperatures of 12 degrees. Glad I'm in the YUK to be honest with you. :-( :P :x 8)

Hi Cricketfan, to add to our woe there are now hundreds of scantily clad Scandinavian women around our shores. How is a man expected to concentrate on his work.

Blimey TDC. More distractions and even more heat I suspect. Glad I missed them! I hope you are coping?  :-D

Going up!
37 yesterday and still rising. :Help: Thursday is the predicted high point in the 40's cooling down to a chilly 30 or so next week. Yes I am a wimp, if not in the pool I visit aircon land. To hell with town and those ladies in gownless evening straps and itsy bitsy teeney weeny yellow polker dot wotsits. Give me cold comfort in a glass and cool air anyday!  TDC 8) It's tough here!  :-D
