Doggie diet.
That's it! You plant feed and nurture all ruddy summer, only to find you have a dog with a fondness for cucumbers and tomatoes! Not only does she subscribe to the "pick your own" philosophy, she eats them too! My sister's dog had a preference for carrots which he would nick straight from the veggie basket in the scullery. Also had a liking for strawberries and raspberries which he would get to before we could in the morning and hoover up all the ripe ones. Mind you this dog also snaffled eggs straight from under the chicken, which they were never very happy about :roll: Many an early morning there would be a terrible squawking coming from the hen house and my Brother in Law would rush out saying that bloody dog!!! Yet he never hurt a chicken in all his years of raiding the coup!................err..........neither did the dog :roll: But never heard of a dog that eats salad stuff before! Do you think I should offer mayonnaise in future, or a nice olive oil salad dressing?......................with extra hot mustard added :twisted: Anyone else's animals have strange diets? TDC 8)

Pleased the dog is er well!! Just thought of a good idea to help old arris out - let the dog do a pick your own business in his garden.

One of Aris's dogs already does that, trouble is she picks the chickens! :roll: Shhhhhhhhhhhhh keep this to yourselves, but he keeps giving fresh eggs in the mornings to tourists in the coffee shops. They all tell him how fantastic they are! The thing is.................I mean...........Err... They are from Lidl!!! His hens have not laid an egg in months! Far too busy legging it from the dog!
